Green Planet helps Adaptiva customers reap PC power management benefits
Green Planet extension for Adaptiva Companion helps customers identify PC power management opportunities and harness them by establishing optimal policies

Seattle, WA, Aug 3, 2009 -- Adaptiva has announced the Green Planet extension that builds upon Adaptiva Companion's PC power and configuration management abilities to facilitate a collaborative approach to real world power management. Green Planet provides full visibility into PC usage, identifies energy saving opportunities and drives power management adoption by engaging end-users.

Green Planet is unique in that it is the only power management software that provides a client side UI, which enables end-users to customize power policies to their individual needs, within limits established by the system administrator. Green Planet also provides power usage and wastage information to end-users making them aware of their PC's energy usage performance.

According to a January 2009 Gartner Research report entitled, PC Power Management Activation Leads to Significant Power and Cost Savings, "Organizations that are actively employing power management functionality can expect to save $43,300 per year, compared with unmanaged organizations ".
